ASMC - Call for Papers

The Sixth Annual SEMI/IEEE Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference and Workshop (ASMC)

Semiconductor Manufacturing: Economic Solutions for the 21st Century

November 13-15, 1995 -- Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA

Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), and IEEE Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Society (CPMT) invite semiconductor manufacturing professionals at all levels of experience from around the world to submit abstracts to the SEMI/IEEE ASMC 95. The annual Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference and Workshop (ASMC) is the premier e conference for manufacturing professionals n the semiconductor industry. ASMC continues to be one of the most respected manufacturing conferences in the semiconductor industry -- offering practical solutions on improving the semiconductor manufacturing process. The conference emphasizes the methodologies used to achieve manufacturing excellence and the strategic relationship between suppliers and customers. The first annual ASMC DuPont Photomasks Best Paper, funded by DuPont Photomasks, was presented for 1994 to Karl Kempf, Intel Corp., and Terry Beaumariage, Oregon State University, for "The Nature and Origin of Chaos in manufacturing Systems."

Fifteen minute presentations on original non-commercial and non-published works are being solicited in the following areas:

Poster Session

ASMC will continue its popular poster session. At this session, abstracts and models can be presented in an interactive poster presentation.

Interactive workshops will be organized in conjunction with the conference. Suggested topics include:

Papers co-authored by a user and a supplier that address practical solutions to real problems are highly encouraged. Abstracts are welcome from all those involved in semiconductor manufacturing including: merchant and captive IC manufacturers, equipment and materials suppliers, academia, and research institutions. Prospective authors are requested to submit an abstract of 200-250 words and a biography of 100 words by March 13, 1995. Authors selected to present at the conference will be notified by April 8, 1995. Final manuscripts must be received by August 14, 1995, to be published in the ASMC proceedings.
