From Scientific American Español: At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a research group lead by a Colombian-American is developing a revolutionary X-ray source that, for medical applications, allows capturing detailed images of veins and arteries without contrast media.
A new -and more capable- X-ray source emerges from Nanotechnology. Low-cost, quasi-monochromatic X-ray sources based on a micro/nanosystem approach developed at MIT enable the generation of absorption images of soft tissue structures without contrast media.
