Freescale Semiconductor Inc. has named Lisa Su as its new senior vice president and chief technology officer (CTO).
She will oversee Freescale's global technical research and development activities. Su is formerly vice president of semiconductor research and development at IBM Corp.
Prior to that, Su held various technical and business positions at IBM including vice president of technology development and alliances in the IBM Systems and Technology Group and director of the PowerPC product line.
